Rawland Build Sheet

The project that I hinted at in a previous entry is shaping up nicely.  Most of the parts choices are nailed down, so it seems like a good time to share the build specs.

Frame: Rawland rSogn (M/L)
Headset: Velo-Orange
Seatpost collar: Thomson

Crankset: Shimano R4550 (34/46, 170mm)
Bottom braket: Shimano Dura-Ace
Front derailleur: Campagnolo Centaur (braze-on w/adapter)
Rear derailleur: daVinci/SRAM X9 (long cage)
Cassette: Shimano 11-34 or 12-36 (9-speed)
Pedals: Speedplay Frog

Brake/shift levers: Campagnolo Centaur Pro-Shift (10-speed)
Brakes: Shimano BR-R550
Handlebar: Ritchey Comp Curve (44cm, 31.8mm)
Stem: TBD
Saddle: Selle An-Atomica Titanico
Seatpost: Titec Pluto Gold (27.2mm, 350mm)

Rims: Velocity Synergy (650B, 32h)
Hubs: Shimano Deore (32h, 135mm rear)
Spokes: Wheelsmith DB (brass nipples)
Tires: Varies

This will be my first foray into the 650B/low-trail world, and I’m excited to see how that combo handles compared to my other bikes (700C wheels, mid/high-trail).  And since the rSogn has clearance for big fat tires, it’ll see plenty of action on the rockier Front Range trails.

Stay tuned…
